With customers from all parts of the globe, it is important the servers are housed in an internationally well connected facility with all the top features. A huge amount of research has gone into these locations. We are currently using four different locations around the world all having the quality we insist on.

osCommerce Servers:

osCommerce understands the need for high-performance hardware to serve ecommerce websites. We use the tried and tested combination of dual Intel servers - either dual Pentium IV Tualatins or dual Intel Xeon processors. Servers are equipped with 1GB - 2GB of RAM as a minimum and use multiple IDE/SCSI drives for performance and data security. We only used motherboards intended for server use, based around server chipsets. All of our servers are deployed in rackmount structures, allowing the hardware to benefit from increased airflow and cooling, contributing to extra stability.

Servers run RedHat Linux from versions 9+, using custom kernels tweaked for osCommerce software and performance, security and stability. Web pages are serverd by a heavily tweaked Apache web server, again optimized for performance, security and stability. Servers are monitored carefully on a regular basis. Automatic checks of services occur every 5 minutes, with frequent manual audits of performance and security. Extensive notification systems ensure that system administrators are notified the minute something out of the ordinary occurs on a server.

osCommerce Software:

osCommerce has selected cPanel control panel suite as the backend / frontend for management of your hosting packages. This software suite is the industry leading software, and osCommerce experience with the software is second to none. Our close relationship with the developers allows us to take full advantage of the features that it offers.
